July 4th, 2010 was the initial performance of the newly merged David Rosen Orchestra and Jazz Xtreme Big Band. Joining the Rosen Music Big Bands is Jazz Xtreme founder, Craig Grubbs.
While the personnel is now the same for both bands, this merger has allowed for two exciting groups that offer a variety of music styles and flavors.
"Dancing Nightly" offers appropriate music for dining and dancing as well as more formal ceremonial and event specific music. 18 piece + 1 Vocalist.
"Jazz Xtreme" offers high energy big band jazz in a concert setting that presents titles from the most active musically significant decades of the 20th century. 18 piece Big Band.
Jazz Trumpeter, David Rosen and the Rosen Orchestras have been in Little Rock and Central Arkansas since the 1950’s and supplied music and musicians for special events and stage shows ranging from convention galas, to National Touring Broadway Shows such as "Hello Dolly" starring Carol Channing, A Chorus Line, Icecapades, Disney On Parade, Disney On Ice, and Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. The David Rosen Orchestra appeared from 1995 through 2007 at the "Pops on the River" 4th of July Patriotic event at Riverfront Amphitheater in the River Market.
Jazz Trombonist, Craig Grubbs started his powerhouse Big Band "JAZZ XTREME" in April, 2004 after moving to Arkansas from Reno Nevada. Craig founded this Big Band because of his love for music, and mainly to keep JAZZ alive!! JAZZ XTREME has played all over the State of Arkansas in conjunction with the Arkansas Arts On Tour Program, and has played many private parties as well. JAZZ XTREME has been featured at the Clark Terry Jazz Festival, and the Hot Springs Jazz Festival for several years running. Jazz Xtreme is now enjoying a musically rewarding relationship with the Rosen Music Big Bands.

JAZZ XTREME has been chosen again for the Arkansas Arts on Tour program. This will be our seventh season, which means that we will be included in the 2010-2011 roster too!
